WOW. Amazing.
ReplyDeletePLEASE tell me you've heard of our event, GROUPHUG St. Louis. This post fits directly into it: give your favorite St. Louis people and places a HUG for the camera and send us the photo. More details here: http://grouphugstl.tumblr.com/event.
Your love of St. Louis combined with amazing photography should make for excellent submissions!

P.S. Any blog promotion of the event would be appreciated as well!
Matt, where's the dotage promotion of the event? Bring your blog back!
ReplyDeleteBed, wonderful work. Just noticed there's a metrolink train in that amazing image of Eads Bridge. Nice.
Thanks very much Matt and Daron.
ReplyDeleteMatt--I am aware of GroupHug and it is a great idea. I have sent out several tweets/RTs promoting it (where I have more followers/readers than here). I am going to do my very best to participate. I am transitioning to self-employment and have been absolutely crunched for time lately and it has seriously impacted my ability to get out and take photos (for example, I haven't even been able to do my DartSTL photo yet, due tomorrow). I hope to be able to fire off a quick photo somewhere and send it in; not sure I will be able to attend the event though.
Daron--Thanks. The Eads Bridge photo is probably one of my favorites I have done. Note, though (and this was noted when I first posted the photo on Flickr), that this is really a composite of two photographs laid over each other. In one, the train was there; in the other, the Metrolink was there. I wish there were there at the same time, but they weren't. That's the only photo of the bunch that isn't really "as seen" (although they obviously all have some post-processing).
